To make a rolled omelette

 


To make a rolled omelette (also known as a rolled egg or tamagoyaki in Japanese cuisine), you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2-3 eggs
  • A small amount of salt and pepper
  • A small amount of butter or cooking oil
  • Any fillings you'd like to include (such as diced vegetables, cheese, or meat)

Here is a simple recipe you can follow:

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them lightly with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and mix well.

  2. Heat a small amount of butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat. When the pan is hot, pour in the beaten eggs.

  3. As the eggs start to cook, use a spatula to push the edges of the omelette towards the center of the pan, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow outwards and fill in the gaps.

  4. When the eggs are mostly cooked but still slightly moist, add any fillings you'd like to include in the center of the omelette.

  5. Use the spatula to carefully lift one side of the omelette and roll it over the fillings, forming a tight spiral. Press gently on the top of the roll to help it hold its shape.

  6. Carefully slide the omelette out of the pan and onto a plate. Serve hot.
